Living History Reenactments began at Fort Belle Fontaine in the late 1990’s and have been attended by thousands. The visits from the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery Expedition gave national focus to these programs. These events foster a greater understanding of the development of the American frontier and the role St. Louis and its citizens in forming our nation.
