Trailnet offers bicycle rides and recreational events - including supported bicycle rides, the annual conservation education program, Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, and the Pedal in our Parks Family Bicycle Ride Series, designed to attract novice riders and families and introduce them to bicycling.

Trailnet promotes environmentally-friendly transportation alternatives through educational programming including Safe Routes to School, a volunteer-driven program designed to resurrect walking and biking to school as a readily accessible exercise program for youth.

Trailnet provides community bicycle/pedestrian planning services to help cities design streets where people can safely walk and bike. The Trailnet community planning team is currently developing Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Plans for 25 communities in Missouri and Illinois.

Trailnet collaborates on the St. Louis regional trail system - including The Confluence project, a 200 square-mile conservation, heritage and recreation corridor being developed along our region’s Great Rivers, from the Arch in St. Louis to Grafton, Illinois.

Trailnet advocates for policies that support healthy lifestyles. In 2007, Trailnet began work on our Healthy & Active Communities Initiative that aims to prevent obesity in local communities through policy implementation.
