Seniors

Senior centers & Food Resources

Senior centers are places where older adults can gather and make new friends. While programs vary by center, most provide meals and offer outreach programs, health screenings and counseling, and a variety of educational, fitness and volunteer programs. They may also provide comprehensive information and referral services. Most senior centers have regular operating hours and are often the community’s focal point for older adult services. There is no charge for Area Agency on Aging center meals or services, but
participants are given the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution to help support the services. For meal reservations or other information, call your nearest senior center.

An all-volunteer meal delivery service for elderly, homebound or convalescent people who cannot shop for or prepare their own meals.
